The life of a professional wrestler is not an easy one, because with the fame and glory comes a lot of difficulties as well. Constantly being away from family, putting the body through serious punishment, and many wrestlers slipping into addictions can lead to life being very hard for many by the end.
This is ultimately why a lot of wrestlers end up passing away at a young age and even more wind up struggling and being in difficult health with a lot of pain. Luckily, there are plenty of WWE stars who are still healthy, even though they might be lucky to find themselves in those positions.
10 Jake Roberts
Jake Roberts’ struggles have been well documented over the years with his addictions having seriously caused him problems at times. However, the WWE Hall Of Famer fought against all of that and worked hard with DDP to get control back on his life to be healthy once again.
Roberts is now thriving as part of AEW, having recognized his former relationship as well. It’s surprising, but it brings a positive story to the wrestling industry for a change, which fans are happy about.
9 Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle’s neck issues are no secret to the wrestling world, from winning the Olympic Gold medal with a broken neck to damaging the area again repeatedly during his professional wrestling career. The issues have caused him problems over the years, and that is why it’s a surprise he is still healthy today.
On top of that, the pain he was in while wrestling led to him becoming addicted to pain medication which caused him further problems. That is why fans are so pleased to see him still doing okay and being able to enjoy this point of his life.
8 Steve Austin
Steve Austin is another wrestler who suffered a broken neck throughout his career and dealt with serious pain because of it. He ultimately brought an end to his time in the business because of the pain through his various injuries, and that was something that could have impacted him in the long term.
However, Austin is fortunate that he is still in great shape and living a very healthy life. The fact that he took time away from the ring is something that helped him in the long run, and now he is reaping the benefits of that.
7 Mick Foley
Few wrestlers have taken more punishment over the years than Mick Foley, which is why he is known as the Hardcore Legend. Although he has pushed his body to the absolute limits, Foley can still live a relatively normal and healthy lifestyle.
While he does deal with some issues, which he has been vocal about, considering the bumps he has taken over the years it is a miracle that Foley is still able to move around freely as few people thought he’d be able to do that.
6 Road Dogg
Road Dogg enjoyed a lot of success throughout his time in the wrestling business, but at the same time, he ended up partying and being involved in the darker side of the business as well. The Hall Of Famer had issues with alcohol addiction and substance abuse problems, and that was something that could have caused him some serious problems later in life.
Luckily, Road Dogg is currently sober and enjoying his life in fine health, which everybody is happy about. However, there’s no doubt he is lucky due to just how serious his issues were at one point.
5 Triple H
Triple H is still in fantastic shape and he looks after himself well, but he is still lucky to be living a healthy life. The Game was never someone who got involved in the drinking and partying scene, despite the people he was friends with, but he admitted himself to almost dying due to his recent health scare.
Triple H dealt with heart problems that were kept very private until he made his return and retired. However, considering just how serious the situation was Triple H is certainly lucky to be in a healthy situation.
Another D-Generation X member who is lucky to be in good health today is X-Pac, as he, unfortunately, had to deal with substance addictions at times. It was something that became serious for him, and it led X-Pac to spend time in rehab to try and get things resolved.
That period of his life ended up being a scary one for many fans who saw him going off the rails, mainly because there was worry about his health and long-term future. Luckily, now the X-Pac is in a great position and remains healthy to this day.
Lita was a groundbreaking talent for women’s wrestling, pushing the division to new heights with her high-flying style inside the ring. Lita would take risks that no other did, taking big bumps that led to her body with standing a lot of punishment that other people didn’t.
She broke her neck and that is something that could have easily led to her having difficulties at this stage in her life. However, rather than being in pain, Lita is still actively wrestling against the current generation of wrestlers in WWE.
2 Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan remains in good health today, being able to get around on his own and without too much pain, which is something he is lucky to be able to do. Considering how many years he spent in the business working at the highest level, there’s no doubt he pushed himself to his limits.
Hogan has dealt with some major back problems over the years and that is something that could have impacted him to the point of not being able to work, but fortunately, that isn’t the case.
1 Ric Flair
Few wrestlers have lived the gimmick more than Ric Flair, and that is why the Nature Boy has dealt with some serious health scares over the years. At one point in time, many fans had prepared themselves for the worst when he was in hospital, yet somehow he is still here and even competed in a match in 2022.
Flair has fought through his health battles and has lived to tell the tale, being back to his usual self in recent years being able to style and profile like nobody else in the industry can.
