Zeynep Atılgan Özgenç has trouble wrapping her mind around the harrowing stories she’s heard from new and expectant mothers in Turkey and Syria.

As a communications analyst for the United Nations’ sexual and reproductive health agency, Özgenç has spent the last nine days on the ground in some of the regions most affected by the powerful earthquake two weeks ago.

A woman was found dead at Disneyland in California on Saturday, authorities said.

The circumstances surrounding her death remained unclear as officials doubted whether she “jumped off or fell from” the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure, said the Anaheim police.

Poor oral health may affect brain later on: early study

An early study has shown keeping your gums and teeth healthy may have added benefits for your brain health.

Preliminary research, set to be presented at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference next week, suggests adults who are genetically prone to poor oral health could be at a greater risk of showing signs of declining brain health.
