To celebrate National Nurses Week, Chipotle is awarding lucky health care workers with free meals for them and their team.
The Mexican chain will award 2,000 winners a “Burrito Care Package” with 50 entrée codes for their team, equivalent to more than $1 million in free food. Health care professionals, including nurses, dentists, therapists, pharmacists and others, can enter the sweepstakes here until May 12. Chipotle will start to reach out to winners directly by May 19.
“Given the demands placed on the health care community every day, we know finding time to bond, celebrate, or even eat as a team can be challenging,” Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer at Chipotle, said in a statement. “The Burrito Care Packages offer a convenient opportunity for healthcare units to come together and share a delicious meal on us.”
Chipotle, which also has some special discounts for Cinco de Mayo, said it has given away more than $4 million in free food to medical workers over the past several years.

When is National Nurses Week?
Many retailers and restaurants typically offer specials during National Nurses Week, which starts May 6 and ends May 12.

Firehouse Subs is offering nurses a free medium sub with the purchase of an additional medium or large sub, chips and drink, on May 6 and May 7. Just show proof of employment to get the offer.
Biggby Coffee National Nurses Week and Teacher Appreciation Week deal
Through May 6, nurses and teachers get a free $1.99 hot or iced 16 ounce drink of their choice at Biggby Coffee. (Nurses must show ID.)
