Doctor lands in the doghouse after giving COVID vaccine waivers too freely

A Tennessee doctor has lost his medical license for issuing covid-19 vaccine waivers to patients he never met in at least three states. One, it turned out, was a dog named Charlie Kraus.

Robert Coble, 76, of Goodspring, Tennessee, agreed to surrender his license in a May settlement with the Tennessee Department of Health that was announced by the agency on June 15.

Coble issued the vaccine waivers in August and September 2021 while working for MedChoice, a company that sold waivers online for $139, according to a health department document summarizing the case. The MedChoice website offered

Amanda Bynes arrested by police for mental health evaluation

Amanda Bynes was detained this weekend for a mental health evaluation, following the psychiatric hold she was put under earlier this year.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department took the former actor, 37, into custody Saturday morning after receiving a call for a woman in distress. Eyewitnesses noted to the outlet that Bynes appeared calm in the presence of the police.

It’s not yet known whether the actress was released or placed on another 5150 psychiatric hold.

LACDPH confirmed three cases of the XBB.1.16 strain in Los Angeles, with “observational data” suggesting that people infected with Arcturus may be more likely to experience conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye.
